We’ve all seen advertisements across multiple media outlets about how alcohol, beer, or wine is a sign of a good time. From sappy to fun commercials, a person can enjoy an alcoholic drink on almost any occasion.

The pandemic took this to the next level. Instead of going out to a restaurant or bar, people across the country started purchasing alcoholic beverages to enjoy at home.

For reference, data from Statista.com shows that in December 2019 alone, there was an estimated $6.326 billion dollars in retail sales from liquor stores in the United States. Compare that to December 2020, where the estimated retail sales in the U.S reached $7.366 billion dollars.  That’s a little over $1 billion dollar difference in one year.

As alcoholic drinks increased the past year, non-alcoholic beverages will also make a considerable impact in the very near future.

In a recent study from Fact.MR, “sales of non-alcoholic wine are expected to reach US$ 1.6 Bn in 2021. Increasing consumption of alcohol-free wine will improve the demand, registering growth at an impressive 10.4% CAGR through 2031.”

The fact that non-alcoholic beverages ( especially non-alcoholic wine ) has been on an upward trend, innovation in this market is bound to explode.  With recent nation-wide legalization occurring in some states, it was only a matter of time these would be fused together.

Now, pair that with a nation that has been leaning towards low-calorie, low-carbs, healthier alternative drinks like Genesee Light, Yuengling Light Lager, and the wildly popular Michelob Ultra. Sales of non-alcoholic infused drinks are surging, capturing almost 50% of total demand.
